| "We" are: John Ashley: A 30-year veteran of The University of Akron, John served as a producer/director of both on campus and public television. His production credits include TV credit courses, documentary films on local artists, and cultural programs with such organizations as the Akron Symphony and Ohio Ballet. His last ten years at the University were devoted to full-time photography for the whole campus. He also photographed weddings and other events as a freelancer during his years at the University. Since Leaving the University, he has done more photographic work than ever; 2005 included at least twenty weddings and six Bar Mitzvahs, the Akron Marathon, plus countless smaller events, including many assignments in a continued part-time relationship with The University of Akron. Marilyn Schmidt: John's assistant and business partner for many years, Marilyn has over 25 years of experience from Cleveland, to Las Vegas, to Hawaii, to Arizona, all in various fields of photography. Her specialty is color printing, and she maintains her own custom printing lab. Marilyn shoots second camera as needed at our events, and works with clients and families at those events. Afterwards, she handles film processing and printing, and does our enlargements as well. |
